After a huge backlash, Riot Games is reversing some of its unpopular changes to League of Legends. These rollbacks are meant to bring back beloved features and improve the overall LoL experience.
In these rollback, Hextech Chests will be returning, and players will be able to earn up to 10 chests and keys per Act (eight through gameplay, two through the Honor system). The decision to bring them back comes after they removed free reward opportunities which brought strong criticism from the community.
Even champion prices are being reduced, and all Blue Essence costs will also be reduced by 50% in the next patch. The reason behind this change is to make it easier for new and returning players to expand their champion pool. Riot has also delayed the release of the Sahn Uzal Mordekaiser Exalted skin after complaints about its quality. Exalted skins will take some more time in the studio to refine and make sure they meet the player's expectations. A number of other features are making their return as well, including Clash tournaments, which will now follow a monthly schedule, and Your Shop is returning in Patch 25.06 with personal discounts. In this patch, Riot Games will also launch the Blue Essence Emporium so players can use unneeded Blue Essence for cosmetic items.
The company proves its dedication to listening to player feedback through these reversal decisions. Riot has planned to introduce these updates while they prepare the changes to solve existing frustrations and enhance League of Legends as a whole.
The company brought back key features to avoid player backlash and accessibility concerns.
In early March, they will be available in Act 2.
The Blue Essence of all champions will be 50% less.
Riot is delaying its release to increase quality.
