Pokémon GO developers Niantic announced that they will be increasing the wild Pokémon spawns.
Pokémon GO players especially those from rural areas have been asking Niantic to boost pokemon go spawns for more frequent encounters with Pokémon. The thrill of stepping outside and finding new creatures has always been the heart of pokemon go, but the low spawn rates have irked players for years.
Niantic has seemingly listened to the complaints and is planning on making things right by increasing wild encounters across the board. As per their announcement, Pokémon will appear frequently in all types of locations. This means players will have more chances to catch rare Pokémon, fill up that Pokédex, and actually experience the "GO" in Pokémon GO.
Niantic is yet to announce when the pokemon go wild spawns will go live. However, reports stated it will be before the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova kicks off.
Speaking of upgrades, Niantic is also planning on improving the Pokédex. The redesign to make it easier for players to keep track of Pokémons they've caught and the ones in line.
While we wait for the wild spawn update, there's already plenty happening in Pokémon GO. The Legendary Birds Dynamax Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will be available until February.
Moreover, the Lunar New Year event is set to kick off on January 29 whereas Small Yet Strong, Beloved Buddies, and Community Day events are lined up for February.
Niantic has not shared an exact date yet, but it will happen before the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova kicks off.
The update aims to improve spawn rates in rural and less populated areas.
The redesign will help players track their captured Pokémon more easily, with better organization and region-based sorting.
