Hello Games, the developers of No Man's Sky, have pushed out yet another big update, version 5.63. This update focuses solely on bug fixing, this time skipping the addition of new content. The game has come a long way since its release back in 2016; the game suffered from shallow and dry content with tons of bugs. But with constant dedication and time, Hello Games has crafted a one-of-a-kind game that stayed relevant after nearly 9 years. Talking about the devs' dedication, in the last patch, Hello Games released the Relics content update, which added a bunch of new content, such as a new fossil collection, display systems, and other nitty-gritty stuff.
However, with this recent update, the goal is to fix and polish bugs that were brought in the last Relics patch.
This patch fixes several bugs related to the fossil stuff, such as missing pick-up icons, fossil decoration, and models disappearing when copied or moved. This update also fixed the notorious fossil items that were available for trade in the market, VR display issues, and missing text and markers showing up in unintended areas.
With the fossil system-related fixes out of the way, the developers also worked on fixing some other highlighted issues in this planetary exploration game. These fixes include Atlantid Drive, which was not showing up in the research stations in the Abandoned Mode, and rare mission blockers in Stellar Multitudes. Along with these fixes, the team optimized the texture streaming budget on PS4.
With these ongoing updates, Hello Games remains committed to further refining the game, a great indication of progress for those devoted fans involved with this planet exploratory game.
The patch is live on PC and PS5, with the rest of the platforms to follow shortly.
