Mojang has announced that the Minecraft Live 2025 event will take place on March 22 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The virtual event will broadcast its stream on YouTube, Twitch, and the official Minecraft website.
A video preview reveals several upcoming features to the audience. The event provides viewers with new gameplay elements while giving previews of the upcoming Minecraft movie, which will debut on April 4. The video also shows environmental changes impacting passive mobs while introducing the flowering cactus feature, which exists in Snapshot and Preview builds but is not yet in the official Minecraft game.
This year's event marks a shift in Mojang's approach, moving from an annual to a biannual format. Minecraft Live events have changed to occur twice annually, with the previous one on September 28, 2024, and the upcoming one scheduled for March. This decision will lead to a higher number of updates and stronger community outreach. In addition to the main show, there's an after-show segment titled The Deep Dig. This show will have fresh content playthroughs, developer interviews, and unique guest features. The main broadcast will deliver English content that includes audio descriptions and provides sign language. The translated version of the event broadcast will become available after the main show in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
Since its inaugural year in 2020, Minecraft Live became more popular by moving its setting from traditional to livestream events. The upcoming event maintains tradition by delivering worldwide Minecraft fans information about game developments and community programs.
