Popular medieval city builder Manor Lords' release is on top of the list of fans' favorites in the RTS genre. Since its debut in 2024, the developer Grzegorz “Greg” Styczeń has wholeheartedly worked hard to ensure every update is up to date.
Recently, director Joe Robinson disclosed that the lead developer of Manor Lords isn't interested in releasing any patch without substance. If patches are to be released, they must have a purpose and meet the standards of the game.
Robinson further explained that Styczeń is keen on improving subsequent patches. He also revealed that not everything will be released in complete states.
“It’s not like Greg is not one for hotfixes,” the director noted. “Sometimes you see people release kind of rapid-fire hotfixes, but Greg tends to like to collect everything and then kind of fix everything all at once. That’s why all his patches are quite meaty and they come with very large changelogs. But everything does get logged and noted and fixes do come eventually if it’s fixable.”
The expectations of Styczeń which is in favor of fans are the reason for the delay in the launch date. Manor Lords will be released in April 2024.
No. The game will be available in early access before being later released to the general public.
Each hotfix is said to build on its strength and functionality.
