Diablo 4 released its March of the Goblins event on March 4, and it became instantly evident that Xbox players could not join the festivities. Xbox gamers encountered a Goblin Statue in Kyovashad as part of the event, but the functionality remained unavailable to them, unlike other game platforms. Xbox gamers were counting down to the loot rich event and the unanticipated delay caused them to be dissatisfied.
Senior community manager Rich Bantegui from Diablo confirmed through the official forum that Patch 2.1.3 and the event were delayed for the Xbox version. He assured the players of the update and confirmed the fix three hours later. With this update, Xbox gamers were finally able to get to the event.
The extended delay of this event has an unknown cause. Some analysts believe the Microsoft certification process affected the timing of game updates as Xbox typically requires more time to review these changes. Xbox users experienced a standalone delay which separated their platform from others while in previous incidents all consumers faced identical delays. This exclusion caused more frustration among the Xbox players.
Xbox players did not gain entry to the "March of the Goblins" event because the game update arrived late.
Blizzard distributed a fix that enabled Xbox gamers to participate after a short several hours following the release.
This short-term game period boosts Treasure Goblin populations to enhance drops from these enemies.
Several players fear repetitive events and their future reduction in player engagement.
