Warhorse Studios has announced that the official launch of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Hardcore Mode will be next week.
Players must play without HUD in Hardcore mode, there's no longer a marker on your map showing where Henry is located, and only cardinal directions are available on your compass. Fast travel is disabled, and the players will have to depend on their knowledge of the map or ask NPCs for directions, which depends on Henry’s social reputation. At the start, players must choose three negative perks from the list, including Hangry, Punchable Face, or Numbskull, that come with their own challenges, such as constant hunger, increasing hostility from NPCs, or reduced intelligence.
Although this is yet to receive an official release, a few PC players have already managed to access Hardcore Mode through console commands. To access this challenging mode before it hits the official release, players should enable developer mode and then do a couple of commands to unlock it. This unofficial access may have bugs, performance issues, or other problems, so the suggested and recommended course of action is indeed to wait for the official release if you are expecting a certain experience.
Permadeath doesn’t exist in Hardcore Mode, but yes, the game is far more difficult and promises a far more immersive gaming experience in every way for those who want a true challenge.
Warhorse Studios aims to give players the most authentic and engaging medieval RPG experience in the coming Hardcore Mode release.
Next week, Warhorse Studios has confirmed.
Fast travel removal, mandatory negative perks, a stripped back UI.
Unofficially, you can use console commands.
It's not, but it's a hell of a lot harder.
