Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will add a Hardcore Mode to the game, which provides a challenging, heightened level of gameplay immersion for players. The update will bring Hardcore Mode to players when it launches as a free update in mid-April. Early versions of the game were already accessible to PC players through console commands, but they are incomplete and contain potential bugs.
The Hardcore Mode of the game requires players to pick at least three negative characteristics for Henry, the protagonist. 'Hangry Henry' intensifies hunger effects while 'Punchable Face' makes NPCs more aggressive, and 'Numbskull' causes players to gain experience at a slower rate. The navigation system also receives major changes in this mode since players lose all usability of fast travel combined with the removal of both map markers indicating the player's position and compass directions. Players must either remember their knowledge of the game world or seek direction from NPCs based on how other characters perceive Henry.
The official release of the KCD 2 Hardcore Mode will arrive soon after the early-access version shows what the mode will offer players when it launches completely.
The free update for this release is scheduled to become available in mid-April.
Users can access the early version only through console commands on PC systems.
Players must disable navigation tools while they need to pick traits that bring challenges to their gameplay.
The early version does not feature all elements and has possible errors present throughout the system.
