The Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition will be arriving on PC Game Pass on April 15, marking its debut on the service. On PC, this version takes the PC experience closer to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions, with faster loading times and better lookers.
It brings support for AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS upscaling technologies, faster load times with SSD and Direct Storage support, and ray tracing for ambient occlusion and global illumination. Also, players can enjoy better resolutions, wider aspect ratios, and better frame rates. Additionally, the supported DualSense controller is enhanced to add adaptive trigger support and enhanced audio with Dolby Atmos.
GTA Online also adds access to Hao’s Special Works, gives players new vehicles and upgrades, a Career Progress feature, and a refreshed landing page. In addition, the update includes the side quest Ambient Animals, which includes wildlife added throughout Southern San Andreas. For the first time on PC, players can subscribe to GTA+ and, if so, receive monthly in-game currency and exclusive benefits.
Players who already own the game on PC may upgrade to the Enhanced Edition for free, provided they want to start fresh in Story Mode and Online. However, it should be mentioned that multiplayer only works for people who have the same game version. The release comes days ahead of the expected launch of Grand Theft Auto VI later in the year.
