According to rumours, Fortnite players could soon receive more Walking Dead crossover content as Negan and Maggie Greene are expected to become part of the game's expanding pop culture skin lineup. Fortnite Creative now features The Walking Dead-themed assets, yet leaks indicate an extensive collaboration will align with the upcoming Dead City Season 2 premiere of May 2025.
Two respected leakers, HYPEX and ShiinaBR, discovered datamined evidence about Negan's signature weapon, Lucille and Shiva shotgun, which was later confirmed in the Creative mode update. Maggie's potential Fortnite arrival would follow the show's promotional schedule since Rick Grimes entered Fortnite during Fortnitemares.
The recent update released on March 25 includes Walker NPCs, a prison prefab and comic-book Creative map filters, but players need to wait until May 16 to upload their islands, which happens to be near Dead City Season 2's premiere date. The Item Shop receives Negan's skin on April 4, followed by his NPC version on April 8, which creates stronger indications that Maggie will arrive as a standalone skin or bundled release. Previous Walking Dead crossovers during 2020 featured Daryl and Michonne as major franchise events, which shows Epic Games uses franchise hype to introduce new content.
The Negan skin will be released on April 4, while his NPC version will go online on April 8.
Not yet, but the leaked evidence suggests that Maggie will be joining Fortnite.
Yes, but publishing Islands is delayed until May 16
