Battlestate Games’ popular shooter, Escape from Tarkov, is a game that the community either loves or hates, with an extremely hard learning curve, and some realistic mechanics that need quick thinking as well as sharp shooting.
The game itself has been in early access since 2017, and by the looks of it, the devs are on the road to fully releasing it this year! Recently exposed to the public was a content roadmap for 2025, with big things coming between now and August.
The first patch is coming in May, most notably a Lighthouse optimization and an in-game event. Knowing what the in-game event is at this point is impossible, so we will have to wait and see what the May update brings us. The community still believes the game needs a lot of work before it's released, but with a big number of patches rolling out over the summer, the devs are getting it closer and closer to fully releasing the title.
After the initial update in May, the game will receive its June update, containing more AI fixes, sound improvements, and, of course, the summer season in-game. A big year for Battlestate Games, and it is believed that Escape from Tarkov 1.0 will be coming at the end of the year.
No, at the moment, there is no way to play Escape from Tarkov on Steam, however, it’s confirmed once the full game comes out, we will see an Escape from Tarkov Steam version.
August 2016, almost 9 years ago!
No, Escape from Tarkov is a paid game, with little to no micro transactions within the game.
Terminal was the most recent addition from the devs, supposedly the final map before the full game release.
