Dune: Awakening is preparing for its next major beta test, from May 9th to 12th, before launch on June 10th for the PC. This beta is open, unlike closed sessions in the past, and without any NDAs, players can share gameplay footage for everyone to view.
Funcom has also talked about a special LAN party event on May 10, where they want to give away tens of thousands of beta keys to boost access. The idea of this move is to increase the number of players in the game and create the buzz before its release.
Written in a Dune universe where Paul Atreides never existed, Dune: Awakening brings to the player the survival MMO experience on the desert planet of Arrakis. In this open-world setting, players can travel vast landscapes, get into combat, and develop their own stories.
The upcoming Dune Awakening beta test provides an opportunity for players to experience the game's mechanics and give valuable feedback to the developers. With the NDA lifted, participants can share, discuss, and present their experience, which will create a more open and attractive community.
If you are interested in joining the beta, there are sign-ups on the official Dune: Awakening website. Keep an eye on Funcom's announcements for more details on the LAN party and beta key giveaways.
