Guardians, we’ve all been there—Bungie drops a new update, something breaks, and suddenly the community is either up in arms or absolutely thriving in the chaos. This time, though, Destiny 2 has delivered a good kind of bug. The Heresy update accidentally removed class restrictions from certain swords and glaives, letting Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters wield each other's exclusive weapons. And guess what? Bungie isn’t fixing it.
That’s right, Destiny 2’s class-specific weapons are now fair game for everyone. This means you can now see Warlocks pulling off some ninja-style moves with the once Hunter-exclusive Goldtusk or Titans running around with an exotic glaive designed for Warlocks. Sure, the animations might look a little weird, but that’s part of the fun, right?
Bungie confirmed the change via its weekly blog, essentially saying, “We see you having fun. Let’s roll with it.” While the devs originally planned to patch this up, the sheer joy from the player base convinced them otherwise. Instead, they’re embracing the chaos and even teasing new animations in the future to better fit this unexpected shift.
So, for now, enjoy the freedom. Experiment with crazy new subclass builds. And if you see a Titan doing something that looks very un-Titan-like, just roll with it. Destiny 2 just turned a bug into a feature, and honestly? We love to see it.
Nope! Bungie confirmed class-specific swords and glaives are permanently unlocked for all classes. Time to get creative with new builds!
Yeah, some animations are a little off, but Bungie is considering adding new ones to make everything look smoother in the future.
Yep! Warlocks, Titans, and Hunters can all wield each other’s exotic glaives. Experiment and enjoy the wild new possibilities!
