Deadlock players, brace yourselves! Valve just dropped a huge update that completely revamps the game’s map, and it’s not just a small tweak—it’s a full-blown map overhaul. The biggest Deadlock change? The classic four-lane structure is gone, replaced with a three-lane setup that forces players into duo lanes. Say goodbye to solo-lane struggles!
But that’s just the beginning. This map overhaul also introduces sky bridges connecting tower blocks, with powerful buffs waiting to be claimed. The mid boss has been relocated, jungle camps reshuffled, and the entire cityscape received a fresh new look. If you're feeling lost, don’t worry—Valve has added an ‘Explore Map’ mode where you can roam freely and get used to the new layout.
Beyond the map, this huge update brings plenty of gameplay improvements. Soul orbs now fly toward players on pickup but disappear faster, and the damage system has been enhanced, giving a clearer breakdown of how much damage was reduced by shields or resistances. DLSS support is also here, making everything look smoother. Oh, and a small but oddly satisfying tweak—ziplines are now curved. Characters weren’t left out either. Abrams, Mirage, and Sinclair got animation upgrades, while Lady Geist and Infernus received voiceover remasters. Sadly, one thing remains unchanged—Valve refuses to rename Fathom back to Slork. Tragic.
What do you think of this huge update? Time to jump back into Deadlock and test out the map overhaul!
Deadlock now has three lanes instead of four, meaning solo lanes are gone, and players must team up in duos.
The update adds skybridges, soul orbs tweaks, curved ziplines, DLSS support, detailed damage reports, and plenty of character refinements.
Yes! Valve added an ‘Explore Map’ mode where you can freely roam and test movement without enemies ruining your day.
