Dark Souls Remastered receives an expansive multiplayer mod thanks to modder Yui, who also developed the Co-op modes for Elden Ring and Dark Souls 3. This latest mod fully removes the multiplayer limits from the base game to allow Lordran exploration as a duo.
Through this Co-op mod, players experience endless multiplayer gameplay even if they die during boss fights or fast travel. The developers built this version for nonstop co-op access all the way from start to end. Players who enable co-op features in the game can unlock PvP invasions together with shared progress and boost the difficulty by controlling enemy health and enabling friendly fire mechanics. Group leaders can adjust all elements of the challenge and tone through all these available options.
Despite the Dark Souls' outdated engine, it has not stopped Yui from completing the entire mod. The developers have fixed most reported bugs and completed repeated game tests to guarantee a bug-free launch. The mod is currently undergoing its final stage of testing without any specific release date specified.
The setup of the mod takes minimal steps, which include unzipping the files, placing them into the proper folder, and then setting a password. The mod works from its own system independently of FromSoftware's servers, which protects users from potential bans.
It is a mod developed by Yui that enables seamless cooperative gameplay which continues without interruption from start to finish in the whole game.
It offers persistent sessions, no multiplayer boundaries, PvP invasions, and optional difficulty modifiers.
The release of this mod is close to completion, but FromSoftware has not specified a date for its launch.
The mod exists independently from the FromSoftware servers and saves game data through different files.
