Since the launch of Ranked Play in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Treyarch shared that they currently maintain a record of more than 136,000 players, who have received bans for cheating behaviour. The developer stated they would enhance their commitment to fair gameplay while improving anti-cheating software.
Cheating in Black Ops 6 has been a big problem, particularly in Ranked mode, where high-level players have continuously complained about it in their ranked games. Treyarch uses account-based bans instead of IP based as it would punish innocent players when multiple users share one connection. The studio remains proactive about stopping cheater behaviour as part of preserving competitive game fairness.
Treyarch's Season 2 upgrades will include better client and server-side cheat detection systems together with new tampering detection algorithms. Console players will also receive controls to turn off cross-platform connectivity in Ranked Play. The studio aims to create improved technology that will verify legitimate players as well as detect cheating activities at better rates.
Even though bans are in place, multiple Cod players claim cheating continues widely within Warzone Ranked Play. Console players find the mandatory cross-play feature during Ranked Matches troubling because they think it brings them into contact with more cheaters. Treyarch's current work continues while numerous players are requesting improved anti-cheat systems for fair Ranked Play.
The Rank Match system has enforced bans against more than 136,000 cheaters since the start.
Season 2 will deliver enhanced detection capabilities alongside a tampering detection system in addition to offering crossplay disabling options for console users.
Gamers who share network connections at educational institutions or cyber cafés can mistakenly receive IP bans when Treyarch uses them against cheaters.
Warzone Ranked Play continues to face multiple reports about cheaters from many players.
