As Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 prepares to launch on 28th January, Treyarch has unveiled details about the next Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 gameplay of zombies map, The Tomb—and it’s about to get underground.
In The Tomb, players are plunged into ancient catacombs after following the trail of Gabriel Krafft’s cryptic final words. The mission kicks off at a 1908 excavation site led by British archaeologist Sir Archibald Fotherington-Smythe—whose mysterious disappearance during the dig still haunts the ruins. Now, it’s up to Weaver, Grey, Carver, and Maya to descend into this eerie burial ground in their ongoing hunt for the Sentinel Artifact.
Treyarch teases that The Tomb will be reminiscent of the fan-favorite Liberty Falls map, with tighter spaces and a big focus on replayability. Plus, the map is packed with Easter eggs and introduces a reimagined Wonder Weapon, drawing inspiration from the series’ iconic arsenal.
Zombies fans can also look forward to several updates in Season 2, including the long-requested co-op pause feature—finally letting your squad take a snack break without fear of undead doom. There’s also loadout recovery for players who rejoin sessions after AFK kicks, better Challenge Trackers, and new HUD presets.
