Ubisoft just announced the production of Assassin's Creed Shadows prequel manga which will be available on March 20, 2025, at game release. The new project supports the game story by offering information about important events which occurred before the main storyline. International players will experience a later launch timing after the initial release date. In Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Iga no Monogatari the manga narrates this teenage assassin apprentice during the Japanese Sengoku era political conflicts as he trains at his Assassin academy. The main character shows traits identical to Naoe yet this does not establish whether they share identical identities. Due to this ambiguous mystery, the Assassin’s Creed community have started sharing their theories. The manga receives artwork from Reguje who also illustrated "UEN" and "Change the World." The game reveals how the Assassins and Templars clash in feudal Japan while extending its historical dimension. The deep narrative background of the series suggests that this upcoming addition can deliver improved experiences to fans of the franchise. In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the story focuses on Naoe the trained shinobi Assassin who teams up with the strong samurai Yasuke to traverse their factional conflict. The upcoming game release will target PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna and Windows PC and Macs with Apple silicon. Ubisoft expects this title to revitalize its financial performance after facing difficulties in the previous year.
