Ubisoft tests whether they should create a new challenging difficulty option for Assassin's Creed Shadows. Currently, there are three difficulty options for combat and stealth at easy, normal, and expert levels. The developers are now developing an extreme challenge mode after the player demands an even harder difficulty level. Jonathon Dumont from the team informs us that their group observes player feedback actively while making improvements across game updates, which will resolve bugs and deliver minor feature updates.
In the current expert mode of the game, enemies show increased alertness and aggressive behavior. Better observation skills allow them to detect players regardless of their height on the rooftops to locate players who have been spotted. The ability to hide by sprinting into darkness is removed in expert mode, as players now need to move slowly when in shadows to stay undetected.
The Assassin's Creed Shadows developers have dedicated themselves to building advanced difficulty options as they want to serve demanding players who desire increased challenge. The developers plan to integrate player suggestions to create a more exciting gameplay experience that caters to more skilled players.
