Minecraft is an incredibly popular sandbox game, where users get to travel and also build within a virtual game-based environment. The highlight of the game is that gamers get to travel to various dimensions, including the End dimension. To travel to the End dimension, gamers first have to ensure that they build an End Portal.
We'll go over how to create a Minecraft End Portal in this blog post.
Step 1: Find a Stronghold
To make an End Portal in Minecraft, the first step is to find a Stronghold. It's in the portal room inside a Stronghold that End Portals can be found. You can see our

You can either use a seed in Minecraft that places you next to a Stronghold or throw Eyes of Ender to find a Stronghold. Even in creative mode, you can still make the Final Portal without finding a Stronghold.
There are some things that you need to have built before you may throw Eyes of Ender. You will need an Ender Pearl and Blaze Powder in order to make an Eye of Ender. Ender Pearls are randomly dropped by killing Endermen, which are not friendly mobs that spawn in the Overworld and End dimensions. Blaze Powder is dropped upon killing Blaze creatures in the Nether dimension.
When crafted, you can throw Eyes of Ender by right-clicking as it is in your hand. The Eyes of Ender will move to the way of the closest Stronghold. Therefore, continue following the Eyes of Ender until they show you the direction of the Stronghold.
Step 2: Gather Resources
An End Portal will require 12 Eyes of Ender and 12 End Portal Frames. End Portal Frames are to be either found in Strongholds or are to be crafted by the use of Blaze Rods and Ender Pearls. You will then have an End Portal Frame to place an Eye of Ender in the middle of the crafting table and eight Obsidian blocks around it.
Obsidian forms when lava touches water or is turned into water source blocks. When it comes in contact with water, lava turns to obsidian. In the Nether dimension, obsidian also occurs naturally.
Step 3: Build the Frame
With all materials ready, we can now construct the Final Portal Frame. Create a 25x25 square grid on the ground, and have three End Portal Frame blocks on each side. Place them properly, the green marks pointing inwards towards the center. At this point, go ahead and place an Eye of Ender into each End Portal Frame block.
For the activation of an already existing End Portal, the players need to travel to a Stronghold because End Portal Frames are never naturally found in Survival mode. Building the End Portal is an easier activity to undertake in Creative mode because one does not have to locate a Stronghold in the first place.
Step 4: Activate the Portal
That's where the Final Portal will lead us to, once all 12 Eyes of Ender are positioned. Just jump inside the portal to go to the End dimension. The End dimension is where all the new mobs, structures, and items can be found, a weird and difficult place.
You can build an End Portal without a Stronghold, yes. To make the portal in creative mode, just arrange End Portal Frames and Eyes of Ender in the appropriate manner. In survival mode, however, you must find a Stronghold within which there is an already present End Portal that just needs activating. The End Portal room with the
End Portal lies in strongholds underground.
To make an End Portal in Minecraft, you need 12 Eyes of Ender. Ender Pearls are provided by the combination of Blaze Powder and an Ender Pearl. An Ender Pearl falls when killing a hostile mob named Enderman. Killing a creature Blaze in Nether dimension gives Blaze Powder.
After the End Portal has been made, the End Portal Frames can be reused. Using a pickaxe, these frames are broken in and fall as items. Following that, you can reposition them to put up an End Portal anew.
No, you cannot put an End Portal in the Nether dimension. Only in the Overworld can it be.
To activate an End Portal, you need to place an Eye of Ender on each of the 12 End Portal Frames. You can jump into the vortex to access the End dimension once all of the Eyes of Ender have been put. It's important to note that End Portal Frames don't naturally generate in Survival mode, and therefore the player has to visit a Stronghold to activate an End Portal which is already installed.
No, an End Portal can't be built in any way. The placement of the 12 End Portal Frames for the End Portal has to fall in a fixed pattern, the green tags on top of the frames towards the center, and the 25x25 square grid with three blocks on each side.
If solid ground of stone or sand is used to build a good base, then yes. That said, in order to avoid the interference of water currents and rubble, care should be taken for the portal.
No, you don't have to add water to the Final Portal. End Portals don't need water or any other kind of fluid to work.
It's impossible to move an End Portal after it's been set. End Portals are static, imm obile entities—you won't be able to pick them up and move them. This applies in case you want to set up an End Portal in some other place to move to the End dimension.
No, for opening an End Portal with the help of a damaged Eye of Ender is not possible. The gate will take only the Eyes of Ender that are in perfect condition.
Conclusion
Making an End Portal in Minecraft is a very satisfying and fun thing to do. It's something that lets you enter new dimensions and find new worlds. You'll be able to create your very own End Portal and set out to sail into the End dimension. In this blog post, you are going to find out how.
