Core Keeper Farming Basics
Farming is literally at the centre of how you'll be progressing in Core Keeper, and the benefits it brings about from early to endgame are pretty big. For farming, you need to craft some basic tools first.
Wooden Hoe: Crafted with 4x Wood at the Basic Workbench.
Watering Can: Crafted with 4x Copper Bars at the Basic Workbench.
Note: Currently, seeds can only be obtained from the wild. NPCs do not sell seeds for planting yet.
Once you have your Wooden Hoe, Watering Can, and seeds, follow these steps to set up your farm:
Till the Ground: Use the Wooden Hoe to prepare the soil.
Plant Seeds: Place your chosen seeds into the tilled soil.
Water the Seeds: Use the Watering Can to water the planted seeds.
Wait for Maturity: Plants take approximately ten real-life minutes to mature.
Re-Water as Needed: Some plants may require additional watering during growth.
Harvest the Crops: Once matured, harvest your crops.
Note: You have a 75% chance to recover a seed after harvesting a plant. If you have the Grateful Gardener skill, this chance increases to 100%.

Seeds can currently only be found in their natural habitat in Core Keeper. It's impossible to purchase seeds from any NPC so far, meaning that you must travel across different biomes searching for the seeds you would like to grow.
Yes, you have a 75% chance of getting a seed recovered after harvesting a crop. Now, this shall increase to 100%—indeed, if you are the possessor of the Grateful Gardener skill—assuring that you never run out of seeds.
You're going to need a Wooden Hoe and Watering Can to hit the field and actually start farming. You craft one out of 4x Wood at the Basic Workbench, and you make a Watering Can from 4x Copper Bars — again, at the Basic Workbench.
In Core Keeper, it takes approximately 10 minutes of real life for the crops to mature. However, you may find that there is the need to water them again if they dry out before their growth cycle completes.
