The current guide will tour you through the Forlorn Metropolis Biome in Core Keeper. This sub-biome represents a bit of a challenge and can be found in the area known as The Sunken Sea Biome. We will return with information about its location, notable loot, and enemies found within this biome.
Where is the Forlorn Metropolis Biome in Core Keeper?
The Forlorn Metropolis Biome can be found inside of The Sunken Sea Biome. As it is a sub-biome, it spawns in isolated "pockets" rather than as a single continuous area. Given that the Sunken Sea Biome is an ocean, you'll more or less doubtless require a boat to get to these areas.
The Forlorn Metropolis has narrow corridors and enemies that do ranged attacks. One should be rather careful with movements, keeping a distance to fight off as much as possible to avoid getting overwhelmed.

Enemies in the Forlorn Metropolis Biome
The Forlorn Metropolis is home to some formidable enemies. Here’s what you’ll encounter:
Caveling Scholar: Individually weak but able to heal other Caveling Scholars and Core Sentries with his staff; best take them down quickly before they become a problem.
Core Sentry: Sentries are dangerous because of the powerful ranged attacks they unleash. More often than not, these are triggered in groups by a Caveling Scholar and sometimes healed by one. If one desires to live through this, he may want to retreat and pick them off one at a time.
To access the Forlorn Metropolis Biome in Core Keeper, you will have to first be able to go to the Sunken Sea Biome. Do this by turning on the three shrines of bosses at The Core to break out the Great Wall. Then, craft a boat so you can travel across water-based terrain.
Within the Sunken Sea are discovered fragments of the Forlorn Metropolis, meaning that you will have to explore it thoroughly. Things like murals that light up when holding a Glow Tulip should be on the watchout list. The corridors could be narrow, and there may be enemies at range, making it a challenging sub-biome.
The Caveling Scholars heal other enemies, while the Core Sentries have devastating ranged attacks. In short, it's highly populated with these enemies, which makes the biome pretty difficult.
Some of the more important treasures include the White Glass Ring, allowing +18 max health and +6% dodge chance. Another is an Ancient Guardian Ring that is a rare drop offering a max health enhancement of +18 and damage against bosses reduced by 9%. Other decorative loot you can find includes the Golden Caveling Mask, Golden Whistle, Golden Needle, Scholar's Staff, and
Ancient Gemstones.
