The Nacib spider. Even the name alone would send a shiver down the spine of arachnophobes, and for good reason. With that being said, though, the Nacib spider doesn’t have to be an undefeatable foe, and with the right plan, finding and beating the Nacib spider should actually be quite simple for your next Avowed game. Following this thought, today, we’re looking at everything you’ll need to know about the Nacib spider to help you decide how to take on the challenge.
Before you can take on the Nacib spider, you’ll first need to find it (no surprises there). The good news here is that the Nacib spider is pretty simple to find, although you’ll need to follow a few somewhat awkward directions to make it into the spider’s lair.
First of all, you’ll need to head to the western side of Paradis. In between the western wall of the city and Ivona’s Threshold, you’ll find the entrance to the Ruinous Cave. Upon entering the cave, you’ll likely be met by quite a few rushes of spiderlings, so be sure to take them out as you progress ahead. Loot can also be found in these caves, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for hidden areas (such as those blocked off by spider webs).
Heading straight on from the main cavern and breaking down the webs in your way, you’ll eventually drop into a pool of water. Leaving this behind, you’ll then be able to continue onwards, passing through another webbed entrance, until you’ll eventually come across a large chamber. Yes, it’s a boss arena, and Nacib the spider will spawn into this chamber once you enter and defeat all of the small and large spiderlings in the room.
Keep in mind that the Nacib spider shouldn’t appear until all of the other creepy crawlies have been wiped out, giving your Avowed character a little time to prepare. Be sure to heal up before the Nacib spider appears if you need to, though!
By this point, we’ve considered how to find the Nacib spider’s lair in Avowed and how to make it appear. However, this doesn’t necessarily help much when it comes to taking out the creature and claiming the bounty reward; given this, knowing several key tips to beat the Nacib spider could really help with your Avowed playthrough.
Now, since the Nacib spider is found so close to Paradis, it’s likely you’ll be taking on this spider quite soon after starting a new game. Given this thought, if you’re just in the early stages of planning your next game, make sure to consider Avowed server hosting to set up your game on a private server, which boasts exceptional uptime and a lag-free experience - helping prevent lag that could otherwise be the death of you during this tricky bounty fight!
With your server now running smoothly, there are several key things to consider as part of your strategy. These include the following points:
With the Nacib spider defeated, new spiderlings will finally stop spawning in and you’ll be able to collect the bounty trophy - its legs - and return to the Bounty Master Aldrich to turn it in. After turning in the Nacib spider, you’ll get rewarded 500 copper skeyt. Keep in mind that there are also many excellent loot items found within the spider’s cave, including some unique armor on a corpse in the spider’s lair.
The Nacib spider is a bounty quest and can be found in the Ruinous Cavern, which is found just to the North of the Aedyran Embassy and alongside the Western wall of Paradis.
In order to find the Nacib spider, you’ll need to clear several large cobwebs that are in the way. These cobwebs can be destroyed either using Kai’s fire ability or by using a fire spell on the cobwebs, both of which will burn them away so you can pass through.
The Nacib spider in Avowed uses several different attacks. These include a jump attack, a charged attack, phantom spiders, and a webbed trap. These can make the fight quite tricky, so you’ll definitely need to keep on your toes to take out the creature.
If you’ve been looking to take on some new bounty challenges during your next Avowed adventure, you may well want to take on the Nacib spider. However, don’t expect this to be a walk in the park; indeed, the Nacib spider is one of Avowed’s trickier bounties, not least of all because the spider has no weaknesses.
