Raise-Only Taming

For the truly dedicated, some creatures can’t be tamed in the traditional sense—they have to be raised.

Take the Rhyniognatha, for example. Here’s the process:

1. Kill a male Rhyniognatha for its pheromone.
2. Wound a female to 10% health.
3. Use the pheromone on a high-drag-weight creature.
4. Wait for gestation, keep the baby happy with imprinting, and say goodbye to the sacrificial tame.

The result? A mighty Rhyniognatha with incredible stats—but at a high cost.

Non Violent Taming Creatures	Taming Method
Araneo	Will take spoiled and raw meat.
Arthropluera	Feed Broth of Enlightenment. Will also take Spoiled Meat and Raw Meat.
Basilosaurus	Feed Exceptional Kibble. It will also take Meat or Fish.
Carchardontosaurus	This one drags corpses to it to feed. Corpses must be above a certain drag weight (i.e. the bigger, the better). Note; if it's not satisfied with the meal, it will eat you instead.
Chalicotherium	Feed this one Beer and Stimberries.
Diplodocus	Feed Regular Kibble, Crops, and Berries.
Dung Beetle	Feed Feces and Spoiled Meat
Electrophorus	Feed Biotoxin and Meat
Equus	Keep riding it until it wants food. It will take Simple Kibble or Vegetables like Rockarrot.
Giant Bee	Feed Simple Kibble and Rare Flower. This one will turn into a bee hive once tamed; place in your base and continue feeding Rare Flowers to produce honey.
Gigantopithecus	Feed Regular Kibble and Berries.
Hesperornis	Drag corpses of fish to the Hesperornis; it will consume them for Taming Progress.
Hyaenodon	Keep petting it after a couple of seconds while it's separated from a pack. Warning: If you pet it and then miss the next time, the Taming Progress will go down rapidly.
Ichthyosaurus	Feed Simple Kibble, Meat, and Fish.
Liopleurodon	Feed it the Giant Bee Honey.
Lystrosaurus	Feed on Rare Flowers, Crops, and Berries.
Manta	Feed it Angler Gel.
Mesopithecus	Feed Basic Kibble and Berries.
Moschops	Will need to feed it one of the following randomly: Tintoberries, Mejoberries, Giant Bee Honey, Organic Polymer, Rare Mushroom, Rare Flower, Raw / Cooked Prime Meat, Prime Meat Jerky, Cooked / Raw Prime Fish Meat, Cooked Lamb Chop
Onyc	Feeds on Fish and Meat.
Otter	Feed it Fish.
Ovis	Feed Sweet Vegetable Cake.
Pegomastax	Allow it to steal Berries from the last slot of the inventory hotbar.
Titanoboa	Will eat fertilized Eggs that are placed on the ground.
Troodon	Must be tamed by setting a tamed dinosaur to Passive and letting the Troodon kill it for fun.
