Minecraft 26.2 Pre-Release 6 is a late test build of Java Edition 26.2, the Chaos Cubed update. Pre-releases come after the weekly snapshots: the features are locked in, and Mojang uses these builds to hunt down bugs and polish performance before the full release.
By the sixth pre-release, the update is close to final. You can explore everything 26.2 brings – the Sulfur Caves biome with geysers and new sulfur and cinnabar blocks, and the Sulfur Cube, a mob whose physics-based behavior opens up new building tricks.
A pre-release server is perfect for content creators, map makers and communities who want to prepare for launch day. Test builds, redstone and datapacks against near-final code.
Pre-releases are still test versions. Mods and plugins generally don't support them, and worlds should be backed up regularly.
ScalaCube installs the build for you. Select 26.2 Pre-Release 6 in the control panel and click install. Players enable snapshots in the Minecraft Launcher, choose the same version and connect.
