Did you ever wish that there was more water in a level? It may seem like something of a contrast, because a lot of people hate water-based segments and games, and wish that they weren’t actually a part of the thing at all. However, if you’re one of the people that do actually enjoy a water experience quite a bit, then this is perhaps the mod pack for you.
Seablock: Rustic Waters is based underwater. Literally, the entire game is based in the water, from the moment you start, at the moment it all ends, you are in the depths. Water has been put as far as you can build, so getting to the top and reaching air is pretty difficult. However, there are a number of different tools and options that are available to help you explore the underwater depths, with most of them focusing on navigation or exploration or defence.
Getting access to a method of transportation like a submarine means that you can begin to explore the areas properly. There are ruins, temples, cave systems and even underwater villages where you can go and barter with the locals for supplies. The emphasis is obviously on exploring, and the water mechanics shine through perfectly here. Despite what you might think about something like this, the entire experience is not frustrating or slow, instead operating at a very smooth speed. It has taken up all of the conventional mechanics of water-based areas in Minecraft, and replace them with something a little more accessible and a little less frustrating.
There’s plenty of opportunities for advancement when it comes to getting the absolute most from your experiences. You can build your hub up manually as time goes by, or there is an automatic feature that you can use. Whatever your preference, there is something for pretty much everyone. Despite what people say about water physics, they’re not so bad here. When a water level is being constructed, it’s logical to presume that the physics and the way that people move is also exploited and changed to make it not unrealistic, but more tolerable than usual.
An underwater level can be pretty hit or miss. You need to try and figure out whether you can enjoy yourself properly inside what it can be a challenging atmosphere. However, there’s no doubt that this is a highly engaging and enjoyable mod to explore. The world you encounter underwater is often very different to the one above ground. A lot of time and effort has gone into this mod, and the results are clearly evident in the way that everything behaves, the way you interact with you environment, and just a bunch of tiny details that all add up to an incredible experience. If you are not a fan of water levels before this, then it may just reignite your passion for them. So it is well worth taking the time to install this model, and making a server so you can explore the underwater world and build the type of experience that appeals to you.
