Performance Server is a Modrinth modpack focused entirely on server optimisation. Rather than adding new content, it collects performance mods that improve tick rate, chunk loading, memory use and entity handling. The result is a server that feels like vanilla Minecraft but runs noticeably smoother, especially with more players online.
Ideal for vanilla-style survival communities.
You don't need to research which optimisation mods work together or install a loader. In the ScalaCube control panel, select Performance Server and click install – the setup is automatic. Since the pack is server-side focused, players can typically join with a regular client.
An optimised pack plus nearby hardware means low latency and fewer lag spikes. Compare plans on our cheap Minecraft server hosting page.
Visit ScalaCube's Minecraft server hosting, select Performance Server, choose a server version and location, and create your server. You can then configure its settings in the control panel.
Because the pack is lightweight, 2–3 GB is enough for many communities.
Usually not, since the optimisations run on the server, though some setups recommend matching the version.
