Hope and Despair is a hardcore survival modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge, built around "100 Days of Shock"-style gameplay. You stay in the Overworld – custom recipes still let you obtain Nether and End materials – and your single objective is to survive 100 days. Zombies adapt over time, learning to break and place blocks to reach you, while body temperature and sanity systems add constant pressure.
It's designed for long-term survival on a server, so gather your group and see who's still standing on day 100.
You don't need to install Forge or configure the pack. In the ScalaCube control panel select Hope and Despair and click install. Players install the same version via the Modrinth app and connect.
