So let’s talk about one of the biggest problems when it comes to modification packs. People assume that they have to be giant things which have so many different options available to them, and this takes up a lot of room on the PC, and requires much RAM to use. However, what people don’t understand is that it doesn’t have to be this way. There can be small mods which are just as much fun to play, but do not take as much room on your computer. That’s why this was born, to demonstrate that point.

GregBlock is a small mod. When you compare it to one of the different models which are currently out on the Internet and offer quite a lot in terms of experiences, this is very small. You only need about 2 GB of RAM and multi-core CPU to play, which is quite flimsy in terms of overall technological specifications. In fact, there are only about 20 different mods in the entire pack. However, it is very much a case of quality over quantity here, as this has all been very well done.

This is very much a Skyblock system. Well, it is like all the others in the sense that that is the theme which the developers are going for, but the overall execution is much, much different. What are you going to have here is a challenging and long-term mod pack, with a lot to find if you’re prepared to put the time in. This is not, by any means, a casual mod. There are a lot of different options, and a lot of grinding to do, and you have to best decide how to utilise resources and your environment to succeed. It’s not recommended if you’re someone who just wants an easy reward system, because you’re not gonna get it.

But, having said that, this is incredibly rewarding to play. If you are prepared to put the time in, and prepared to exercise some restraint and how you utilise resources and move forward, you will find this can be incredibly rewarding in terms of what it gives you. There is a genuine sense of accomplishment here, a feeling that you have managed to achieve something incredible, and this is, well worth the price of admission, and the trial and error you’ll do.

So, is this something that we can recommend for everybody? No, not at all. This is a much more specialist mod than some people will be used to, and there is a lot that you have to try and figure out for the first time. However, if you are prepared to do this, and prepared to keep going, then you will encounter a lot of rewards and a real sense of accomplishment. A real fundamental principle at work here is that this is quite stripped down and basic, but this doesn’t work against the system. Quite the opposite in fact; this mod pack offers you a lot in the way of rewards and risks, and is well worth checking out if you have the time.
