Okay, what we have here is a hard-core version of Minecraft. Think of this as being the advance difficulty. This is a survival-based modification pack, with heavy emphasis on enhancing difficulty and superior levels of tactical decision-making. You really have to know what you’re doing to thrive in this game, because it is that much harder than regular Minecraft. It’s definitely something you attempt when you are bored of the conventional difficulty spikes that are on offer. Despite this, it can be very interesting to see all of the different options at work.
Difficulty is the name of the game here, as you can probably suspect. Designed by the incredible FTB team, this is something that puts emphasis on you managing to overcome a lot of hurdles and come up with something that is ultimately very interesting. The way you do this is entirely up to you, because Minecraft is, in essence, a sandbox game. However, you do have multiple options available to you, so there is plenty of room to experiment and figure out what it is that you want. This is very much welcome when considering a hard-core version of Minecraft is going to be a lot more challenging.
If you want to give this one a go, then you’re going to need to make sure that your Minecraft is updated to version 1.7.10. This is not incredibly difficult to do, as pretty much every version of Minecraft at this point as well past 1.7.10. If you are going to play this, then we heavily recommend that you invest in a powerful computer and adequate resources. Specifically, getting about 7 GB of RAM involved is probably a good idea for best results. It may seem like a challenge, but it is also worth it in the long run.
A challenge has very much been issued in the form of this modification pack. Whether you rise to that challenge, and try to survive in the hard-core world, or whether you simply quit is up to you. However, those players who are looking for an action bit of challenge may find this exactly up their alley. This is definitely not vanilla Minecraft, and it is much harder, which is nice because the added difficulty spike really makes what you’re doing more rewarding. But, the trade-off to that is you have to know what you’re doing.
In conclusion, these are just a few of the different options that you have available to you. The way in which you do things will be up to you, so it’s important to take a look at all of the different options to find out what’s going to work best. Obviously, there are no right or wrong answers, but there are definite patterns which you need to think about and try and follow. Being smart, being sensible, and thinking about what you’re doing is the best way to get through this. Try it, and see what works best for you.
