At the end of the day, magic runs the show in FTB Magic World 2, because everything that you can do and want to do is built around the idea of having that magic on offer. Obviously, this is a sequel pack to the original mod collection, and like any good sequel, it ticks all the boxes from the original and then manages to improve on it by creating even more fun and exciting options. You’ve got plenty of choice with this one, and it gives you a lot of scope for some fairly broad experimentation. How you do things and the kinds of options you have will be up to you, which is why this is a modpack which can be a lot of fun. Plus, there is Minecraft server hosting for multiplayer, so that’s quite nice.

The pack is built for the early-ish 1.6.4, which means that you’ll have no difficulty tracking down a version of the game at this point. It’s quite easily to set up and run because it’s a little more basic than other editions, but the level of sophistication generated by the mods makes up for that. We would still recommend the standard 8GB of RAM, however. That will make all the difference from a gameplay perspective, especially in the long run. Plus, it gives you space to host a server or something similar.

FTB Magic World 2 is quite fun for the central mechanic that it tries to put out. It’s basically a good lesson into the idea that when it comes to mods and what they can do, magic is just as effective as technology. You’ve got a lot of options, plenty of choices, and a host of different gameplay mechanics designed to help you get some of the best options. It’s up to you to check out what kind of options will be best for you, of course, but it is nice to know that you’ve got some options.

So, if you’re after a good time, we can definitely recommend something like FTB Magic World 2. It’s a lot of fun and pretty easy to get the best results, you just have to be prepared to experiment a bit. If you can do that, you’ll see it’s pretty easy to find out what works for you, and get good results. At the end of the day, that’s all the gameplay is about - being able to do what you want to do and having a good time. If you can do that, you’ll be in with a great chance of winning.
