Dogma: 2nd Gen is a complete overhaul of the original software which was made to be a unique and highly engaging experience. What we now have is the remastered and retooled version. It was built to make sure that you have an enjoyable and easy to work with experience from start to finish, and has been made to include more mods than ever before and to be suitable for a modern version of Minecraft. What stands Dogma: 2nd Gen apart from the rest is the unique emphasis it puts on being able to adapt to the environment around you.
Most mod packs tend to make you change the environment and shape it according to your needs. But instead, this puts an emphasis on making you adapt. You need to understand that there will be consequences to any actions you take and that your decisions can affect the entire world and even spill out into space. It is this kind of intensive cause-and-effect mentality which really helps to elevate this above the rest. You can find yourself building whatever kind of world you like, but you have to remember that there are consequences to your actions.
As one might expect from a remastered and retooled mod pack, Dogma: 2nd Gen runs on the 1.12.2 version of Minecraft, which is one of the latest versions at the time of writing. A powerful CPU is recommended to get the most from your experiences, and as is the case with a lot of mods you’ll need around 8 - 10 GB of RAM. What may seem like a steep installation cost isn’t that bad really, but it is important for you to be able to assess your own capacity before you decide to make any downloads or installations.
Conflict and chaos in war are still the main elements of this mod pack. You will need to carefully think about how you move forward in each environment and how you make decisions. You could easily usher in an era of peace or turn the world into a wasteland and there would be not a lot that anyone could do about it besides try and survive. This is your world and your choices, so it is important to try and be sensible about how you make them and the way you interact with the environment. Will you conquer or command? Build or burn? It’s your choice.
So overall there’s definitely a lot to work with here and so many options to pick from. This is an interesting mod pack because it gives you the choices you need in such a way that you don’t feel pushed into any one option. However, you should also be aware that when it comes to this game, you are in sole control. If you break the world via fighting and conflict, you have to live with that. It’s important to think about what you want to do before you do it, and to recognise that in Dogma: 2nd Gen, what you do will have ramifications.
