I've used Scalacube twice now, once three years ago and now recently. They are more of a hands-off "here's your server have fun" type of setup from my own experience. My initial goal was to setup a Modded Minecraft server. Upon purchasing the 6gb package for $18 per month, at the point I reached checkout I then learned this price was first month only. I'm sure it was on the first page and I just didn't see it due to fine print or excitement, but I was a bit taken back to get this info right before I hit "accept" and paid. The next step to setup the server itself was done mostly automatically by ScalaCube. It wasn't until after I began using FileZilla to transfer all the needed mod files and such that I realized that Forge was not setup on the server. It took me some time to fix the issue (I had to delete the current server profile and starting up a new one then gave me the option for a modded minecraft with Forge). As long as you are aware of how to use Filezilla and have some basic understanding of FTP, things are fairly easy from there. This is *not* for beginners and there is little to no handholding through the process. My second, recent use of the service was far easier than the first time when I had zero knowledge of how things worked. I can't speak to how customer service is this go around as I haven't had to use them much due to hours of self education and experimentation, and it wouldn't be a fair assessment to comment on an experience from three years ago.

Flawless connection and amazing service, provided several hours of entertainment for my friends and was very easy to configure. Most hosting sites don’t come anywhere near the ease of access and freedom to modify my server.

Guys I have and will continue to recommend your platform to friends and coworkers. Its amazing. So I am just grasping at straws here to critique. The initial deployment was strange. Waiting 24 hours makes sense but some more output/updates to the process would have been nice. I purchased the launcher, but it wasn't available for my mudpack, so that kinda sucks. Maybe just mention the launcher isn't compatible with all modding apis, etc. The most frustrated I have been, I was trying to move from forge to thermos. I really wish there was a way to use terminal commands in my vm or whatever, because the server jar was not outputting much. Idk that's probably unrealistic and just bad experience with mods. Anyway guys, its a great service. Thanks! ScalaCube is basically the Apple of game server hosting, but without the hefty price. It is seamless, fast, and super user friendly. It's one of those rare products where I would actually recommend it to experts and noobs alike.

I had my doubts at first but this is a really good site to get your minecraft severs, whether modded or just regular servers.

Good uptime, the control panel and settings are a little out of date but nothing a little google can't help. Overall very satisfied for the price.

Used Scala for a TFC server for a friend of mine and I. Thus far I've seen no signs of lag. Configuration took about 12 hours, which was longer than I would have hoped, but now that we're setup I have no qualms.

I live in asia but even the server region is america, there are no lags and I really love it
