TL:DR -
ScalaCube hosting is an up and coming hosting company with headend servers all around the globe.
I used their 4.5G plan to host a tekkit and FTB server interchangeably.
Overall I am very happy with the service provided as I have had a great time playing on my server. Nothing is perfect, but ll my issues and queries were answered and sorted promptly.
PROs:
1. 50 percent off first month allows for cheap trial to see if the service is for you
2. You are renting a VPS, not just a singular minecraft server, which means the customisation is endless and you are able to run multilple server instances at once
3. GUI is at most very easy to use and displays all you need clearly (everything is where it is expected to be)
4. Huge range of pre made modded servers (Tekkit, FTB ... ETC) and the ability to make your own
5. Option to purchase dedicated IP to open ports (useful for dynmap plugin, voxel...etc)
CONs:
1. Console usage and command execution is very gimmicky but acceptable
2. Is at the high end of prices in comparison to other sites.

Set up server for my son and I to play. I was sick of having to leave my LAN open so he could play when he wanted to and I didn't. Easy guides on how to set up, upload single player world, etc. Updating mods goes fairly smoothly. Most everything works as it should. Have not needed to contact or use support, most questions are answered within the guides. I tried a different host, and was unhappy with the restrictions on setting up the mods. If there were any complaint it would be cost, 20$ a month for 2 players seems a little steep. However, overall I am happy, and more importantly my son is happy and enjoying playing games with me.
