Leveling Guide in Palworld
Palworld is a multiplayer open-world survival crafting game in where you befriend and gather mysterious creatures called 'Pals'. In this game, you are able to make them fight, build, farm, and work in factories that everything you want to gather. You can also sell them, or even slaughter them to eat! That, however, is against the law.
One of the most critical representations of Palworld is to level up your Pals. When you level up your Pals, it will raise their stats, unlock new carried skills, and enable the evolvement into stronger organisms. In this tutorial, I will take you through a process that will make leveling up your Pals easier and quicker for you.
Level Up Your Pals
You can level up your Pals in Palworld in two major ways: through battling and feeding.
Battling
The most common way of gaining levels for your Pals is battling. So for fighting against other Pals or human NPCs, you will gain experience points (XP) for your Pal. The amount of XP rewarded relies on the difference of level between your Pal and the opponent along with the type advantage/disadvantage. For instance, a firetype Pal will earn much more XP if it defeats a grasstype Pal rather than defeating a watertype Pal.
To be able to challenge other Pals or NPCs, he must equip his Pal with a weapon or make use of its Partner Skill. Partner Skills are special action your Pal has for you, like being used as a mount, being used as a shield and so on. By pressing the right mouse button while having hold of your Pal, you can trigger the Partner Skill.
You can also battle up to 32 more players online in a single server. But be careful, others may either hunt you or steal your Pals, or a better option of using Scalacube
Palworld server hosting.
Feeding
Another way of leveling up your Pals in Palworld is through feeding. By feeding some fruits or vegetables, meat, or fish to your Pals will increase his XP and its happiness. Happiness is an unknown stat that distances how much loyal your Pal is for you and how many possibilities are there of evolution.
You either harvest crops, hunt animals, fish or buy food items in shops. They can be cooked using a stove or campfire.
Feeding your Pals is as easy as placing the food item on the ground for your Pal to eat. You can also throw the food item at your Paladin, or use its Partner Skill to feed directly.
Strategies for Leveling Your Pals
Here are some tips to help you level up your Pals faster and easier:
Select the most appropriate Pal given the situation. The different benefits of each type can be based from its stats, skills, and Partner Skills. For example, a flyingtype Pal is more useful for exploring higher points or escaping from ground attacks than a groundtype Pal is.
Use type advantage into your favor. Each Pal has one or two types which will determine its strength and weakness towards other types. For example, firetype Pals are strong against grasstype Pals but weak against watertype Pals. You can check the type chart here: https://palworld.fandom.com/wiki/Types
Equip your Pals with weapons and accessories. You will be able to create or purchase a number of different types of weapon or accessory equipment for your Pals that will assist in improving how well they do combat. Examples may be swords, guns, shields, or helmets for your Pal. Although, you should be careful with some weapons and accessories that can affect negatively the Pal's happiness or health.
Build a base and put your Pals there.
Build a base using multiple materials and structures that you can craft by yourself or buy. Your base will supply you shelter, storage, crafting stations and fast points of travel. You can also station your Pals at your base and make them perform tasks like scavenging, crafting, cooking or guarding. This will earn them XP over time without requiring your supervision. Trading with other online players. You may use the trading system for you to be able to trade items or Pals with other online players. With this, it would be easier for you to acquire rare or more powerful items or Pals compared when you will just go on your own catching and finding process.
How can I catch new Pals?
In order to capture new Pals, you will need to use an item called a Pal Sphere.
A Pal Sphere is a device that captures and stores Pals within it.
Pal Spheres can be made through crafting with the metal scraps and crystals, bought from the shops, or even obtaining it from chests and loot boxes. You only have to weaken the targeted Pal by fighting until the targeted's health bar turns red, throw the Sphere at it, and be fortunate that it will stay inside. The catch rate will depend on Pal level and rarity and the type and quality of the Pal Sphere.
How do I evolve my Pals?
To make your Pals evolve there are some conditions you must first meet, but which differ across each Pal. Some Pals evolve by leveling up, while others will need a special item or certain happiness or time of day as well.
You can track the requirements for the evolution of each Pal here: https://palworld.fandom.com/wiki/Pals
What do I do to join/create a server online?
Either you can join or make a server online by selecting multiplayer option from the main menu. Then, click enter on joining an existing server from the list of servers or host by clicking host button to create your own.
Name, password, max players, difficulty levels can be customized in server settings.
How to save the game? To save your progress during the game you have to use at least one save point. A save point refers to that device that one can use to save some of his data for purposes of allowing him to come later and continue with his game.
Most of the time, save points are located in towns, dungeons or even in towers.
You can also craft or buy a portable save point that you can place anywhere in the world.
