Unlocking the Essentials
Before crafting a bed, you'll need to ensure your Pals have basic shelter. Here's what you need to do:- Trainer Level Up: Reach Trainer Level 2. This unlocks the "Wooden Structure Set" in the Tech Tree.
- After the accumulation of enough Tech Points, proceed to the Tech Tree to invest in the "Wooden Structure Set." This kind of build is going to start the series that will deal with several blueprints that will accord to providing a good base for all the basic living needs.
Building the Foundation: A Place to Stand
With the "Wooden Structure Set" unlocked, gather the following materials:- Wood (×2): This readily available resource can be found scattered throughout the world or by chopping down trees.
Once you have the wood, open the build menu and navigate to the "Foundations" tab. Select the "Wooden Foundation" and place it in your desired location. This simple wooden platform will serve as the base for your Pals' future bedroom.
Enclosed Comfort
While not strictly necessary for a basic bed, walls can provide an extra layer of comfort and security for your Pals. Here's what you'll need:- Wood (Variable): The amount of wood depends on the size of your desired enclosure.
From the build menu, go to the "Walls" tab and choose the type of wall you prefer. Snap the walls onto the foundation, creating a small enclosure around your wooden platform.
Roofing it Over
Similar to walls, a roof is optional but adds a touch of protection from the elements. Here's what you'll need:- Wood (Variable): The amount of wood depends on the size of your chosen walls.
Head to the "Roofs" tab in the build menu and select your preferred roof design. Place the roof over your wall structure, completing the basic shelter for your Pals.

Crafting the Comfort: Building the Bed Itself
Now for the main event—crafting a bed! There are two primary bed options in Palworld, each catering to different situations:- Shoddy Bed: This basic bed is perfect for a quick and easy sleeping solution.
- Wood (×20): Gather more wood to construct the bed frame.
- Fiber(×5): Fiber can be obtained by breaking down plant life or using tools on various environmental objects.
- Wool (×1): Defeat or capture woolly creatures like Lamballs to obtain wool.
Here's what you'll need:
- Straw Pal Bed: This bed offers a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing option for your Pals. Here's what you'll need:
- Open the build menu and navigate to the "Infrastructure" tab.
Once you have the necessary materials, select the desired bed type from the build menu and place it within your constructed shelter.
Sweet Dreams for Your Pals: Ensuring Restful Nights
Bravo, bravo! Another step ahead while arranging a bed for your friends, Pals is what can be aged, reached by giving multiple beds so you can have as many furry (or feathered, or…) friends as you want but make sure each bed is safe and sound somewhere around your base.
My Pals won't use the bed! What's wrong?
Ensure your Pals are tired and have low energy levels. Exhausted Pals will naturally seek out beds to sleep in.
Can I craft different styles of beds?
Currently, only the Shoddy Bed and Straw Pal Bed are available. Future updates might introduce additional bed style
Do I need a separate bed for each Pal?
Ideally, one bed for each Pal can be used to avoid overcrowding and probable stress.
Can I place beds outside my shelter?
You should not do so. Beds put outside are destroyed by weather, and they are not good enough for your Pals. Comfortable beds for your Pals to prepare themselves for any issues Palworld throws at them.
