Black Desert Online brings its first Hardcore server to life through Battlefield of Blood and Sand in Valencia's Great Desert. This PvPvE mode allows players to get Survival Points from slaying monsters and other adventurers, yet the main reward comes through completing daily missions that yield the Quest Points.
Players keep their Quest Points after death, but Survival Points are lost. Every point earned while playing the server can be exchanged through Hardcore Honor to receive rewards that work on the main server. Two months before the official launch, four classes enter pre-season. They begin at level 63 and have 3,000 skill points in each of the four classes: Warrior, Sorceress, Ranger, and Berserker.
The game provides unique gear to players that they cannot modify or mend. The desert environment has secure areas known as Pilgrim's Sanctums, along with the Dark Fog event that initiates solo battles until a single person remains. The game marks top players on its world map, which promotes a competitive aspect. The pre-season period lasts a month, during which the team makes further changes based on player feedback.
The Great Desert in Valencia hosts its own PvPvE mode featuring a daily two-hour constraint for players.
Survival Points, along with Quest Points, can be exchanged through the Hardcore Honor system.
Players can begin their journey at level 63 through the available characters, including Warrior and Sorceress, together with Ranger and Berserker.
Players engage in a fast-paced fight with no survivors except one through this sudden massive battle.
