A mechanical lift can be found here, throw the switch, bring it to the top, then crawl onto its rooftop so that you can move across the ledges that are available out there.
From here, progression is in your equipment for map travel. You'll require the Cloak of Faydown to glide across large gaps, and the Cling Grip does a lot to help you climb walls. You'll carry another weapon with the Clawline, but you do not need it. Jump over the balloon-like floating creatures or simply fly through with the Cloak until you see a tiny door hacked into the wall. The ugly-looking door is the entry to Sinners Road.
First Interior Steps – Threats and Enemies
The tone is set with the first room: hostile, cramped, merciless. The Muckroaches, grotesque bug-like creatures that charge with grapple attacks, swarm this room. Their bellow is the grab warning, get on top of them and strike back is the strategy. Don't overheat, since they are speedy and will punish careless swings. The following room presents you with throwing-star enemies on balconies. Their attacks can be hurled back with good timing, however, but slipping underneath and dodging them is effective too. To the top left alcove, through a swinging spiked ball, is one of the most important stops in the area: a bench and cartographer Shakra. Purchase the Silksong Sinners Road map here; it's a godsend in these coiled tunnels. Rest at the bench, then prepare for a more in-depth drive. Returning to the main shaft, head right into a waterlogged corridor filled with leeches. Meeting Styx

Travel more up the shaft to the top. Travelling to the right will take you into a colossal vertical hall that's patrolled by brutes wearing chains and other Muckroaches. At the end, a spiked corridor that's heavily near-sighted tests your wall-jumping skills. Ahead of it is a slow but ferocious mini-boss. His attack cycle has huge openings, above his swings, slash at the back, rinse and repeat. He kills while dropping a small key.
That is the key that opens the one at the bottom right of the same hall. Fall through spiked crevices, glide carefully with the assistance of the Cloak, and eliminate the two Muckroaches in your way. Inside is Styx, an enigmatic figure with whom Pharloom's darker past is connected. He does not fight you, but instead gives rewards later if you come back with proper offerings. Meeting Styx is a landmark in the region, and it signifies the conclusion of our trip.
To Bilewater
Proceed through the door before turning back towards where you first saw the caged Green Prince. The switch, now having been flipped in the proper direction, you may now free him, another installment in his never-ending tale. Here, the lower-right door exits. This place is disgusting, teeming with Muckroaches, swordsmen, and the creaky boards covering silk-siphoning pits. Patience and careful placement are your friends.
At the other end, a plunge into the depths is your reward for the Barbed Bracelet. This perilous item increases both the damage you suffer and the damage you deal, so it's ideal for attacking play. With it, you're nearly ready to leave. Head into the main vertical corridor again and locate the mid-exit. Drop down through a wrecked cage, battle past final clumps of hostiles, and at last flow into the subsequent biome: Bilewater. Coming out into this filthy wetland technically concludes your playthrough of Sinners Road, if you stay to fight the boss, that is.
The Sinners Road Boss

While it may be avoided by some, the true conclusion of this chapter is further along in a hidden arena.
