With some of our favourites from the SEGA Dreamcast becoming movies, like Sonic, it is now a common theme for games to turn into film franchises, and the same fate comes to OutRun, a popular driving series that originated in 1986! From arcade machines to our living room televisions, OutRun has been a staple driving game for decades, so it’s no surprise that Michael Bay wants to film a movie revolving around the game's storyline. While the actual storyline of the game is not many people know other than driving a Ferrari Testarossa obnoxiously fast through the streets, even so, it’s the perfect start to a Michael Bay film as is.
The SEGA game title that was massively played on the beloved SEGA Mega Drive consistently, hasn't seen a release in the game department for 16 years, so for fans of the franchise, its about time to see the red Ferrari on our screens once again, but this time in full HD, and real life!!
While we know the movie is taking place, there is no more information about when we can expect to see the film in cinemas globally, but in classic Michael Bay fashion, I'm sure it will be loud and entertaining the whole way through!

The main character was the Ferrari in all of the OutRun games!
