Those flying, stinging little nightmares that never fail to be a nuisance. But as much as we'd love to swat them into extinction, they drop some useful materials—like the Vespoid Shell, which you’ll need for crafting certain armor and weapons.
In our case, we were hunting them down to forge the Sonic Horn 1 from the Vespoid Tree. But of course, the game wasn’t just going to hand us three Vespoid Shells MH Wilds — we had to go out and earn them. If you’re in the same boat, don’t worry—I’ve got you covered with the best farming method for Vespoid Shells Monster Hunter Wilds.

Scarlet Forest – Your Vespoid Farming Zone If you’re looking for Vespoids, head straight to the Scarlet Forest. This is their main habitat, and you’ll find them buzzing around in two key areas:
To make things even easier:

Vespoids have been terrorizing hunters since the very first Monster Hunter game. In Monster Hunter Wilds, they’re described as "Neopterons with paralyzing poison stingers." That means they’re not just annoying—they’re also dangerous if you let them swarm you. If you get paralyzed mid-fight, you’ll be a sitting duck for any big monsters roaming nearby. So don’t let these bugs get the best of you!
Right now, we’re still early in the game, and the Scarlet Forest is the only known Vespoid location. But as new environments are discovered, more Vespoid spawn points might appear. We’ll update this guide with new locations and drop rates as soon as we find them. So stay tuned for more bug-hunting adventures!

Vespoid hunting might not be the most thrilling part of the game, but if you need Monster Hunter Wilds Vespoid Shells, here’s the game plan:
Vespoids are readily found in the Scarlet Forest, particularly Areas 6 and 8. If you open your map and scroll around the Forest map, you will notice tiny purple dots—these are monsters. So, look at these places, identify the Vespoids with the push of the right stick, and the mount will direct you to their positions. After losing, go up to them and slice them for resources.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, slaying the Small Monster Conga rewards you with Brute Bone. Conga are found in the Forest zone, and we discovered that picking them from the map's 'Filter Icons' option is the quickest way to find Conga sites.
Monster Hunter Wilds has six chapters, although each one's progress is not weighted equally.
