Entity Model Features (EMF) is a Minecraft mod that lets players use custom mob and player
models without needing OptiFine. It works on Minecraft Fabric, Quilt, NeoForge, and Forge,
making it much easier to enjoy resource packs that add unique shapes, animations, or details to
creatures in the game. If you’ve ever wanted skeletons with different armor looks, creepers with
new styles, or player models that stand out, EMF makes that possible.
This mod is designed as a replacement for OptiFine’s Custom Entity Models (CEM) feature, but
it’s built to be lightweight and fully compatible with performance mods like Sodium. To get the
best results, it pairs with Entity Texture Features (ETF), which handles texture changes, while
EMF manages the models. Together, they allow creators and players to add more variety and
life to Minecraft without sacrificing performance.
